We are Master Chefs!

Dear parents.

We open this month with a new topic about cooking. Cooking is an ideal way to boost self-worth and teach responsibility.

Through this topic we will learn:

• Different kinds of flavours and food.
• Cooking utensils in the kitchen.
• To use numbers around the kitchen measuring and weighting things correctly.
• Team work
• Songs
• Healthy habits.
• And have a lot of fun cooking.

Where do the animals live?

Dear parents.

During this month we are going to learn about the different types of climates and habitats that exist, and depends of this the landscapes, animals, plants and weather that you will find there.

We are really excited at the prospect of returning to Eden Project to see the Tropical and Mediterranean climate that there are there. You will recall our first visit took place in October. This return visit will enable the children to compare and contrast the changes in those environment.

Learning about the Beach

The beach is a topic that all the children love. We are lucky because we live in a town near to the sea, in the south of England so I have created this presentation to introduce the topic in class and then we can go to the beach to see, touch, smell... all we have learnt in class.

This activity will be the first of the Summer Term and after that once a week we will go to the beach to see the tides, the lifeboats...
